After taking a few days to play with my treadmill, I have started back on the
Couch to 5K training program. I left off on Week 6 before we moved, so that's where I'm starting from. Here's this week's workout:
Brisk five-minute warmup walk, then: - Jog 1/2 mile (or 5 minutes)
- Walk 1/4 mile (or 3 minutes)
- Jog 3/4 mile (or 8 minutes)
- Walk 1/4 mile (or 3 minutes)
- Jog 1/2 mile (or 5 minutes)
| Brisk five-minute warmup walk, then: - Jog 1 mile (or 10 minutes)
- Walk 1/4 mile (or 3 minutes)
- Jog 1 mile (or 10 minutes)
| Brisk five-minute warmup walk, then jog 2-1/4 miles (or 25 minutes) with no walking. |
Day 1 felt great, and I was tempted to skip ahead, but I've read that interval training builds endurance and this program was created by people who know a lot more about running and fitness than I do, so I'm sticking with it!
