Homemade Cocoa

On cold winter nights (like tonight!), I love curling up with a cup of homemade hot cocoa. A few years ago, I discovered the recipe on the side of the Hershey's baking cocoa container, and it's been a winter staple in our home ever since. It's super easy to make and way better than those powdery packets. Here's the recipe for 2 servings:

Combine 1/4 cup sugar, 1/8 cup cocoa, a dash of salt, and 1/6 cup warm water in a saucepan over Medium heat. Bring to a boil, boil and stir for 2 minutes. Stir in 2 cups of milk and heat. Do not boil. Remove from heat, add 1/3 tsp vanilla. Fill up your mug and top off with marshmallows.

Enjoy!
