Tonight Rusty and I made a salad for dinner using lettuce from our garden! Things seem to be growing along pretty well, although the bigger everything gets, the more I realize I know nothing about what I'm doing.
There's the parsley that looks nothing like parsley, although I'm certain that's what I planted. Today I even emailed the seed company a picture to see what they think. There's my "mystery plant" which has popped up into several squares and is growing like a champ, but I'm starting to think it's a weed and not an unnamed veggie. Then there are the squares that completely baffle me, like the carrot, cilantro, catnip and corn squares, which are full all kinds of sprouts I can't identify! The irritating thing is that I have no idea how to figure it out, except to go with it and see what, if anything turns into a vegetable I can identify.

All right, my seminary-bound friend, this post (and this experience) feels laden with theological content!!! =)
Your lettuce for salad looks awesome, by the way!
It is actually pretty common for seed packets to be laced with other seeds than what is supposed to be in there.
The salad tasted pretty darn good too!
