For dinner tonight I got brave and tried my hand at "crispy tofu" for the stir fry Rusty made. I love, love, love the crispy tofu from P.F. Chang's and there was a snippet about it in a sandwich recipe in my
Vegetarian magazine this month. I've never even bought tofu, so I was pretty excited to try it.
First I lifted it out of the liquidy substance in the carton...hmmm.

Then I cubed it, coated it in flour and salt and finally sauteed it in oil in a skillet.

Rusty added the finishing touch by tossing it in a bit of terryaki.

Voila!

It wasn't quite as crispy as I'd like, but for the first try I'd call it a success and I'll definitely be trying it again.

It can be fun to experiment. Keep trying, you will get it.
