This past week we had quite a bit of snow and ice, which is beautiful but can also cause a bit of irritation. One effect of the weather was one we'd never experienced in the States...no mail. In fact, we have not gotten mail since last Tuesday. Apparently the postman has decided that the road was too dangerous to travel, so unless we want to pick it up ourselves, we have to wait until he decides the road is passable. Never mind that we've all been going up and down to work every day...This has happened during every bout of bad weather we've had, and frankly, it really bugs me. I have lived in places with much worse and more frequent bad weather, but I have never not had the mail delivered. Grrr.
