Things I'll Miss About Clovis

Only 2 more days now before we head off for a new adventure in Arkansas. It's funny, I don't want to live in Clovis, nor do I think it's the right thing for us, but I've really come to enjoy and treasure parts of it during my time here. These reflections over the past few days have inspired me to list a few things I'm really going to miss...

3. Knowing Where Everything Is and Getting There Quickly
My family quite question this, but I do know where everything in Clovis is and that's a rarity for me! I don't have to print up directions or drive around with a GPS telling me when to turn, and for me, that's just super! The other part of that is that everything's close, there's very little traffic, and you can get just about anywhere in less than five minutes. Love it.

2. Good Food is All Around
Rusty and I have racked up a pretty decent "places we've lived" list and we've enjoyed the food in all of them, but for me, there's just no place like home for good food. My favorite is Leal's where I enjoy sour cream enchiladas and chili rellenos, but I think I'd take Juanito's, Cotton Patch, and Taco Box over any out of town food too. I have SUCH a weakness for the food here!

1. The Constant Presence of Family
Having both sides of our family here means a large support system. What a gift to have everyone here for impromptu meals together, hanging out and watching tv, running errands, or even to bring something by that we need. I love the comfort and security in it and I will truly miss how easy it is to see and hang out with everyone.

There are definitely more but these are the things that stick out most to me and that I always love about coming home to Clovis. The great thing is that no matter where we go, we can always come home.
