On the last weekend of Randy and Barbara's visit, we went to London. I had been before during my choir tour with the Point Loma Concert Choir, but the rest of the family hadn't and I was thrilled for the chance to go back.
We stayed in a nice but affordable hotel in Trafalgar Square and did a lot of the main tourist attractions, including a double-decker bus tour, a visit to the Tower of London to see the crown jewels, Westminster Abbey, St. Paul's Cathedral, some shopping in Piccadilly Circus, the National Gallery, etc. One of my favorites was a visit to J.M. Barry's Peter Pan statue in Hyde Park. Rusty and I love the film Finding Neverland and were excited to see the statue, which legend says Mr. Barry had erected in the middle of the night so that children passing by on their way to school might think it had appeared as if by magic!
On the last day we rented a car and drove down to Stonehenge. These interesting stones have stood in South England for thousands of years and though scientists have come up with many possibilities of their purpose, it is said that the best explanation is that we'll never know...

Yeah, I'm really glad that we went to the Peter Pan statue too. I know it was more of a walk than you all wanted, but I thought it was really rewarding. I really enjoyed our last night in London.
It's just as I remember it! =)
LOL, looks like fun. And who is the cutie tootie in the hat and scarf? Geesh!
